MGM MACAU organised a graduation ceremony and Junior Lion Eye-Dotting Ceremony for the third 'MGM Lion Dance Championship - Junior Lion Dance Training Programme' on 22nd August. A total of 75 pupils aged between five and ten participated in the seven-week training programme.

The graduation ceremony of the programme was held in MGM MACAU's Grand Ballroom, and was participated in by various guests of honour; namely, the Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, Liu Bin; Director of Macao Government Tourism Office Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes; and Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, Grant Bowie.

To date, nearly 200 local children have joined the Junior Lion Dance Programme since its inception in 2015. The Programme - designed for different levels, from foundational choreography training to a formal lion dancing course - provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the art of traditional lion dancing as well as the opportunity to perform in public community events.
