MGTO Hosting Annual Press Conference in January

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is scheduled to launch its Annual Press Conference on 23rd January, at which a wrap-up of last year’s activities will be delivered, while MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes will introduce the marketing and promotional programme for 2019. Hundreds of local guests plus MGTO and its representatives from overseas, local industry partners, as well as local and international media personnel, will attend.

Macao as a Creative City of Gastronomy will be the promotional theme of this year. With multimedia and other innovative promotional strategies, MGTO advertising will target consumers in the city’s principal tourist source markets with ‘gastronomy’ themed events including promotion and exchange sessions with celebrity chefs, food truck, culinary workshops, guides for local gourmands, website, feature articles, television programmes, social media, mobile apps and so forth.

Meanwhile, MGTO is encouraging the tourism industry to explore more themed itineraries harnessing culture and history, world heritage, leisure and gastronomy, and hometown visits to attract more visitors to participate in multi-destination tourism in the Greater Bay Area.
