MGTO Annual Marketing Meeting 2019 Forges Promotional Schemes for Next Year

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) convened its Annual Marketing Meeting 2019 in Macao from 18th to 20th June, in which 46 MGTO market representatives, consultants and representatives of promotional entities from around the world reported upon their initiatives over the past year and marketing schemes for the year ahead.

MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes and departmental heads briefed the meeting on Macao’s current tourism situation, developments in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and major local events in the pipeline for the next two quarters. Attendees were also briefed on the ‘Specific Financial Support Programme for Cultural Tourism Brand Building - Mak Mak’, the latest maritime tours and embarkation/disembarkation points in Macao plus familiarisation visits promoting multi-destination travel in the Greater Bay Area. MGTO officials and market representatives shared their experiences and perspectives on a host of other issues related to tourism in the city.

With ‘Art Macao’ launched, MGTO arranged a visit for market representatives to the imposing multimedia art installation A Metamorphosis: No End to End currently displayed in MGM Cotai for a first-hand experience of one of many art pieces being showcased in this mega five-month international arts and culturefest.
