To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Portugal, music will serve as the conduit of communication of this grand event in which youth orchestras from Portugal and regions and countries along the Belt and Road will collaborate with local and China youth orchestras to present spectacular diversified performances.

The 13 performance groups joining the local ones hail from the United States, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Nepal, Poland, Portugal, Ukraine, and from Mainland China’s Jilin, Beijing and Shanghai, along with Hong Kong SAR as well as Asia Pacific. The Asia Pacific Youth Choir will perform with local youth choirs to construct a bridge for learning, cultural exchange and friendship by demonstrating the talent of young people from around the world.
