The special exhibition ‘Celebrations for the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region’, presented by Macao Government Tourism Office, is currently running in the exhibition hall of the Ritz Building in Senado Square. Welcoming residents and visitors to a retrospective journey of seven chapters, the exhibition is a comprehensive, multifaceted display of Macao’s growing tourism diversity and products under the successful implementation of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ and the city’s continuing transformation into a world centre of tourism and leisure.

The exhibition - showcasing the development of Macao’s tourism industry from 1999 to 2019 - features seven distinct chapters of the journey so far; namely, a review of national policy and positioning, tourism statistics, tourism industry and city development, comprehensive tourism experience, tourism service system, tourism promotion plus international and regional co-operation.

Through multimedia writings, images and videos to statistical tables and interactive elements the exhibition presents a comprehensive overview of significant events and milestones in Macao’s tourism industry, development planning, tourism facilities and products, destination promotions and external collaborative projects, among other initiatives – all of which are designed to afford residents and visitors deeper insights into the contribution of the tourism industry to Macao’s economic growth.

Open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm, this free admission exhibition welcomes residents and visitors from 25th July to 20th September.
