MGTO organised the ‘Greater Bay Area - Seamless Travel Experience’ promotional event in Singapore on 5th July in tandem with its counterparts from Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Zhongshan as well as travel blogger Keith Yuen from Singapore. Together they showcased the destination glamour of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in a fresh and lively style in addition to encouraging the travel trade to tailor a variety of multi-destination themed tour itineraries and products for Singaporeans.

As a preparation for the multi-destination promotion in Singapore, at the invitation of MGTO and with the support of various cities’ tourism entities, Singaporean travel blogger Keith Yuen designed an itinerary that took him to eleven cities in the Greater Bay Area on one trip from 1st to 14th June. During his two-week exploration, Yuen shared some 20 posts on Instagram, which won over 30000 likes and 1600 comments from his keen travel enthusiast followers.

In the ‘Greater Bay Area - Seamless Travel Experience’ Travel Mart, Yuen shared his travel experiences and tips with around 80 members of the travel trade from Singapore, Macao and Zhuhai.  In addition, he produced a video about travel in the Greater Bay Area that was also screened to take the trade on a visual journey of the Greater Bay Area’s kaleidoscope of tourism attractions, which can be found on Yuen’s travel website at: www.travelinspiration360.com.

Following the Travel Mart, MGTO held a ‘Greater Bay Area - Seamless Travel Experience’ Promotion Dinner at which MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes stated that the event hoped to show the Singaporean travel trade the tourism situation of Macao and the Greater Bay Area and what they have to offer as a travel destination. MGTO also introduced them to their Greater Bay Area counterparts through the event, encouraging all to jointly develop diverse tourism products to tap into the potential of the multi-destination tourism the region is so rich in.

During their stay in Singapore, tourism officials and representatives from Macao, Zhuhai and Zhongshan paid a visit to the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore on 4th July, conversing with the General Manager of the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore, Mohamed Ismail Bin Hussein, who was briefed on the tourism situation of the Greater Bay Area.
