Organized by the Macau Sport Development Board and the General Association of Athletics of Macau, and title sponsored by the Galaxy Entertainment Group, the 2014 Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon has received an overwhelming response, with quotas for the Half Marathon and Mini Marathon all full, and limited places only left for the Full Marathon category.

The 33^rd edition of this annual event, slated for Sunday 7^th December 2014, will start and finish inside the stadium of the Olympic Sport Centre in Taipa. Marathon and Half Marathon runners take off at 5:00am, while Mini Marathon competitors start at 5:15am.

Growing in stature and popularity every year, last year’s event attracted 6,000 runners from 47 countries/regions,of whom 1,000 signed up for the Full Marathon, 2,000 for the Half Marathon and 3,000 for the Mini Marathon competing in various classifications for the championships. This annual sports event, which attracts a good number of participants from around the globe, also benefits Macau tourism.
