Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Awards Ceremony

Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Awards

The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Macau serves as the illustrious venue for the Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Awards Ceremony on 4th December, in which Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) recognises licensed restaurants and F&B establishments in the territory that have maintained the highest standards expected of a tourism city with its sights firmly set on establishing itself as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.

Launched in 2014, the scheme classifies participants - all of whom must have been legally licensed and operational by 31st March, 2013 - by four distinct categories; namely, Deluxe Restaurant, First Class Restaurant, Second Class Restaurant, and Food and Beverage Establishments.

Participants are scored by a ‘Mystery Shopper’ assessment and evaluated by ‘Service Management System Audit’, frontline service standards and management, with successful contenders receiving a Star Merchant Award, valid for 3 years, to be displayed on their premises. Participating merchants scoring highest in each category will be awarded the Service Star Award Trophy and a cash prize of MOP5,000 as a token of appreciation.

The scheme represents an authoritative recognition of excellent tourism service quality in Macau. Having received this prestigious accreditation, participants are not only able to prove that their quality service meets and exceeds customer expectations but that by building their brand and reputation they build that of Macau as a whole.
