Series of Events for Myanmar Overseas Chinese Water Festival

The Water Festival Carnival will be held in Hác Sá Park, Coloane

Thingyan - Myanmar's New Year Water Festival, and held this year from 24th to 26th April - celebrates that country's New Year and sees off the old by sprinkling water and offering prayers. With many Burmese living in Macau today, establishing their own traditional festivals and food culture here, the Festival has become a firm tradition in the territory with many activities promoted with the support of the local government and related departments. Officials from the Central Government, Macau SAR Government, tourism associations, Macau Burma-China Fraternity, and Macau Burma-China Industry and Commerce Promotion Association will be present along with dozens of news media entities reporting live from the streets - and beaches - of Macau.

A heaven-sent opportunity for photographers, the Photo Exhibition (24th to 25th April, Praça da Amizade/ 51-57, Avenida de D.
