Macau Serves as Set for Hollywood Heist Movie

Hollywood movie ‘Now You See Me 2’ shot at Science Museum and Rua da Felicidade

There's always something interesting going on in Macau, and increasingly it's moviemaking. Hollywood returned once more to the territory in March, this time to begin filming 'Now You See Me: The Second Act' in the vicinity of the Macau Science Centre and the area around Lan Kuai Lau (Rua das Estalagens) for nine consecutive days, attracting considerable interest from local citizens and visitors.

'Now You See Me 2' - a heist movie in the grand tradition of the genre - features new cast member Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the son of Michael Caine's character Arthur Tressler. Lizzy Caplan also debuts as the film's female lead. Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo are all returning for 'Now You See Me: The Second Act'. According to media reports, the sequel, directed by Jon M. Chu, will have a scene shot in Macau when Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe and Taiwanese singer/actor Jay Chou meet, with some additional scenes reportedly shot in a Sands casino

The plot is set one year after the team from the original movie outwit the FBI to win the public's adulation with their mind-bending spectacles. The Four Horsemen resurface in the sequel only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet.
