MGTO Director Appointed PATA Executive Board Member

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes has been appointed to two important positions in PATA

Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes has been appointed to serve on the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Executive Board and will be the Chairman of the PATA Nominating Committee for one year. In acknowledging the appointment she promised to assist PATA in making the Asia Pacific Region one of sustainable forward development.

The PATA Executive Board is the most senior management council of the organisation, responsible for industry policy, Association positioning, organisation and operations. MGTO has been a member of the Board. The PATA Nomination Committee is responsible for nominating suitable candidates to fill important vacancies.

PATA is a non-profit organisation established in 1951. Existing members include the tourism units of 87 countries and regions, 31 airlines and cruise companies, 61 educational institutions and hundreds of travel industry companies. Macau became a member of PATA in 1958.
