5th ‘MGM International Lion Dance Championship' in Mid-November

Hosted by MGM MACAU, the 5th 'MGM International Lion Dance Championship - Macau Invitational' roars to life in the Grande Praça of the hotel this 14th and 15th November attracting world-class lion dance championship teams from around the globe. The 'Female Lion Dance Performance Competition' is another exciting must-see part of this increasingly popular event.
As an enjoyable way of introducing traditional Chinese culture and sport to local youths, the first ever Junior Lion Dance Training Programme will be launched during the summer holidays, in July and August, packaged as a healthy and dynamic sporting activity. Taught by a well-known, professional coach, the Programme is specially tailored for children aged 6 to10.
Last year, 24 teams participated in the event from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Italy and other places.
