Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Roll Out Five Multi-destination Tours

Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau jointly announce new multi-destination tour routes information

Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) - with representatives of seven local tourism businesses - attended the China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo 2015 from 11th to 13th September in Guangzhou. Seizing the opportunity to deepen regional co-operation and boost tourism development in the three neighbouring destinations, MGTO introduced new multi-destination tour routes in conjunction with the Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province and Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) during the Expo.

The three tourism authorities hosted a joint booth at the Expo and held a presentation session to announce their new multi-destination tour routes and related travel information to industry partners. Five new travel routes embracing tourism resources across Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau with different highlights and themes were featured. Macau's World Heritage 'Historic Centre of Macao', a wealth of culinary delights, world-class hotels and resorts, its cultural and creative hub as well as island attractions were included in the itineraries.

In addition, MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes attended a networking luncheon for tourism leaders of the three destinations, together with the Director General of Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province, Zeng Yingru; Director of Zhuhai Culture Sports and Tourism Bureau Wang Lingping; and HKTB Executive Director Anthony Lau, among others. During the luncheon, they shared the latest tourism trends and discussed new co-operation opportunities designed to enhance tourism development in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.

Manning a 72 square metre booth themed 'Touching Moments, Experience Macau' at the Expo, MGTO presented Macau's diverse tourism products and latest information to the public and industry professionals as part of Macau's goal to build the territory into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
