The ‘Macao Light Festival 2015 - Journey of Lights’ will dramatically illuminate the city from 6th December

Hosted by Macau Government Tourist Office and co-organized by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, the 'Macao Light Festival 2015 - Journey of Lights' revolves around a Butterfly Fairy and her 10 elves who gather in Macau during December. The event includes 3D Mapping light shows, 3D light shows, light installation art and interactive games available at 11 famous attractions including several UNESCO World Heritage sites, adding a totally new dimension for visitors seeking a fun time in this festive season.

3D Mapping - featuring four themes - will be played on the façade of four historic sites via glamorous 3D architectural projection mapping technology; namely 'St. Dominic's Angelic Melody' at St. Dominic's Church, and 'The Wonderland of Illumination' on the Ruins of St. Paul's (10-minute shows running once every half hour). The 'Tour of Exotic Macau' will take place at the Holy House of Mercy, while 'The Purple Haze of A-Ma Temple' will play at A-Ma Temple (5-minute shows running once every half hour). The programmes will run from 7:00pm to 10:00pm between 6th and 31st December.

Combining the technology of a bicycle generator and three-dimensional mapping, participants can activate a light path by riding a bicycle. In addition to joining the exciting interactive game 'Taming Rudolph the Reindeer!' from 21st to 25th December, in which visitors can help Santa catch Rudolph with the aid of touch screen monitors.

In the same period, the 'Dance Little Fairy!' activity in St. Augustine's Square will enable visitors to imitate a butterfly emerging from its pupa, imposing its fluttering shadow onto the church walls.

In addition, visitors can join the 'Elves Hunt' event at ten venues. By using WeChat's 'Shake' or 'Scan' function, visitors can locate at least five little elves to redeem a gift.

All interactive games, except the 'Elves Hunt', will be held from 7:00pm to 10:00pm for 20 minutes each, and once every half hour.
