MGTO Promotional Activities in January

UK celebrity TV chef Jonathan Phang will make a presentation in London about his recent visit to Macao

This month, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is joining a series of promotional activities in the UK, India and Taiwan region, using these occasions as a platform to present Macao to the tourism industry and visitors, whilst presenting more travel opportunities for co-operation.

Taiwan region

MGTO PR Consultant in Taiwan will attend the Taichung International Travel Fair from 1st to 4th January, using a booth supported by the organizer to create a Macao Pavilion with co-operating travel agents to sell Macao travel packages.

UK

The MGTO UK office will participate in the inaugural Telegraph Travel Show from 8th to 10th January. Taking place at London's ExCel venue, the B2C travel fair is expecting over 40,000 visitors during the three-day event. As well as taking a Macao booth, MGTO is sponsoring the Asia food area at the show, which will be themed around Macao, serving traditional food items from the territory. In addition, MGTO will host a breakfast reception for key travel industry partners, while celebrity TV chef Jonathan Phang, who recently visited Macao, will make a presentation about Macao in the show's Destination Theatre.

India

The MGTO India representative will set up a 48 square metre booth in SATTE, the biggest travel trade exhibition to be held in New Delhi in January with over 17,000 visitors, including international and domestic buyers, expected over three days. With this edition, MGTO's third participation in SATTE, MGTO has opted for a premium booth space where MGTO India reps and the trade from Macao will participate with the objective of attracting and connecting with travel agents, tour operators and consumers.
