WiFi GO Service Locations Now in 183 Spots

WiFi GO provides 21 new service locations

The Bureau of Telecommunications Regulation conducted a project last year to further enhance the Internet connection speed of WiFi GO, offer 21 new service locations to the public, thus increasing the total free WiFi service location network to 183 sites. All service locations at the port of entry offer free 24-hour wireless broadband Internet access services.

The new service points are: Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal (Waiting Room in Restricted Area), Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal, Pier Coloane, The gate of Zhuhai-Macao Cross Border Industrial Zone, Guia Fortress, Woodcraft Works of Master Lu Ban Exhibition Room, Patane Night Watch House, General Ye Ting's former Residence, C-Shop, Leisure Area of Praca de Jorge Álvares, Praca de Ferreira do Amaral Bus Terminus, Lago Building Bus Terminus, Macao Conservatory Theatre School, Vocational Training Centre of the Labour Affairs Bureau, No.1 Police Commissioner's Office, No.2 Police Commissioner's Office, No.3 Police Commissioner's Office, Taipa Police Commissioner's Office and Traffic Commission for the Islands, Traffic Commission for Macao Peninsula, Macao Healthy Life Education and Carmo Lago Health Centre.

WiFi GO, installed by the MSAR Government, can be found at a number of government sites, public facilities and tourist attractions, and provides free wireless broadband Internet access services to local residents and visitors. WiFi GO came into operation over five years ago and the number of users has increased steadily: as at October 2015 more than 23.7 million successful accesses to the Internet via these service sites was recorded.
