Zhuhai authorities have announced that the structure of the shacks at the inspection point in Wanzai Port are in dire need of repair. Due to safety concerns, the port has been out of operation since 17^th January, without a definite reopening date. Consequently, transportation between Wanzai in Zhuahi to the Inner Harbour area in Macao and Taipa Ferry Terminal has been suspended until Zhuhai Wanzai Port comes back into use.

The MSAR Marine and Water Bureau, The Public Security Police Force and Macao Customs Service have adopted certain measures to deal with Customs procedures: the Macao Customs Service and the Public Security Police Force are maintaining proper manpower to ensure security at the Inner Harbour; the Marine and Water Bureau has asked shipping companies to post suspended notices for the marina and also announced this message through the 'Macao Sailing' APP, calling for residents and visitors to use the Cotai Frontier Post or Border Gate.
