Macao Science Centre Hosting Living Dinosaurs Exhibition

Macao Science Centre (MSC) will host the Living Dinosaurs Exhibition from 23rd March to 11th September, showcasing 14 mechanical replica dinosaurs and 72 small-scale dinosaur models. Interactive games, electronic books about dinosaurs and a series of activities for the public will also heavily feature.

The exhibition - the first special exhibition themed around dinosaurs to be presented by the MSC - is designed and produced by Imagine Exhibitions and Aurea Exhibitions. The exhibit's science advisors include American paleontologist Dr. Gregory M. Erickson and Argentinian paleontologists Dr. Sebastian Apesteguia and Dr. Adrian Giacchino, chairman of the non-profit Azara Foundation organization, which strives to promote research into Argentina's natural and cultural heritage.

Interactive games will include motion sensor virtual reality exhibit 'Dare to Venture into the World of the Dinosaurs', augmented reality colouring game 'Dinosaur Babies in the Science Centre' and augmented reality card game 'Dino Competition Academy'. In addition, a series of activities include dinosaur-themed exhibit school co-operation activities, science talks, parent-child workshops, dramatic guided tours, science drama, Night out at the Science Centre, Dino colouring Competition, writing and drawing competitions, guided tour by 'Little Science Communicators' and a display of award-winning works from the MSC Multimedia Contest.
