A Century of Austrian Art Exhibited in Macao

The exhibition will run until 3rd April

Macao Museum of Art (MAM), together with Beijing World Art Museum and the Chinese-Austrian Academy of Fine Arts are co-organising an exhibition titled 'Secession Movement - Austrian Art (1860-1960)'. The exhibition, held on the 2nd floor of MAM, comprises 89 paintings collected by 34 Austrian individuals and public entities, and runs until 3rd April.

The exhibition compiles the masterpieces of the iconic Austrian artists of the 19th and 20th Centuries, including prominent figures Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka. Assorted exhibits will be displayed, including drawings, sketches, oils, crayon paintings and watercolours, with themes varying from portraits to landscapes to still life.

Presented as a nationwide activity, the exhibition was launched by the Beijing World Art Museum in April 2015 and has successively toured Dalian Modern Museum and Hubei Provincial Museum, with its conclusion this year in the Macao Museum of Art. In addition, the Guided Tour for Public will be held every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. For more details of the exhibition, please visit:
