In February, Macau International Airport (MIA) set a new record for single month passenger volume, recording over 580,000 passengers, an average daily passenger volume of over 20,000 and over 4,900 flight movements handled in February, growing 23 per cent and 15 per cent, respectively, compared to the same period of last year.

Southeast Asia routes continued to perform well in February, taking up 41 per cent of the overall market, followed by Mainland China and Taiwan region, which accounted for 32 per cent and 27 per cent, respectively. The three major markets recorded 28 per cent, 32 per cent, and 11 per cent increase, respectively, compared to the same period last year, fully reflecting the wisdom of MIA adjusting its marketing strategies to the changes in particular markets.
