Air Macau’s New Macao-Fukuoka Flight takes Off

Air Macau launched a new flight between Macao and Fukuoka - the capital city of Fukuoka Prefecture on the northern shore of the island of Kyushu in Japan - on 28th March. The regular route comprises one flight every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday between Macao and Fukuoka (Macao to Fukuoka departs 3:30pm; Fukuoka to Macao departs 8:55pm). From now until 30th June, passengers can purchase a one-way ticket at the special price of MOP800, booking Macao to Fukuoka every Saturday or Fukuoka to Macao every Monday on proviso the flight is completed on or before 30th June.

On 10th March, Du Guofu, Vice President of Air Macau, led a delegation to Fukuoka, where they attended a product seminar introducing the carrier's newly launched Fukuoka-Macao route and the promotion of Macao products. Air Macau plans to attract a variety of passengers by strengthening co-operation with local travel industry partners and the media in Japan.

Mr. Du expressed his wish in the seminar of attracting more Japanese tourists to experience fascinating Macao via Air Macau's safe, convenient and comfortable services. In the 15 years since Macao's return to China, he said, the Macao airline industry has undergone huge changes thus more Japanese visitors can experience a greater variety of leisure travel options in the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Japan is Macao's fifth largest inbound tourist market, with over 280,000 Japanese tourists visiting the territory in 2015. Consequently, Air Macau is eager to promote Macao's tourism image and attract even more Japanese visitors to Macao through the event held in Fukuoka.
