IFT Announce 2015 Q4 Macao Tourist Satisfaction Index

According to IFT's Macao Tourist Satisfaction Index, in the fourth quarter of 2015 the satisfaction of tourists stood at 67.8 points on a scale of 0 to 100. Points dropped 1.8 compared to the third quarter of 2015. The average of the total scores was 69.2 points for 2015, down 0.1 points vis-à-vis 2014.

The study analyses ten different sectors related to tourism; namely, casinos, conventions and events, World Heritage attractions, hotels, immigration counter services, other attractions, food service, retail shops, tour guides and travel agencies, and local transportation.

By analysing the data of the fourth quarter of last year, the highest scores go to conventions and events (75.8), local transportation (68.9), and casinos (67.6). The immigration counter services received the lowest score of 65.4 out of 100. The total scores of the fourth quarter of 2015 of all sectors declined compared with the third quarter of 2015, except for local transportation and World Heritage attractions. In comparison with the last quarter of 2014, all sectors were ranked with a lower score except transportation, tour guides and operators during the fourth quarter of 2015.

Analysing the data of 2015, conventions and events (76.8), immigration counter services (69.6), food service (67.3), tour guides and travel agencies (67.0) plus local transportation (68.7) all increased compared to 2014.
