The Macao SAR Government Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the Sports Bureau (ID), the Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) and the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will jointly launch recreational facilities located in Nam Van Lake. Soon to be operational, the facilities include pedal boats, a café, and weekend cultural performances designed for visitors and residents to enjoy the views and spend a relaxing day by the waterside.

The Vice-President of ID, Lam Lin Kio, said that the hardware and supporting facilities for the pedal boats is expected to be ready by mid-May. MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said that the Office is now studying inviting associations to participate in the weekend cultural performances, with the first of the projects expected to be launched in early June.
