2016 MGTO Annual Marketing Meeting Slated for End-June

The MGTO 2016 Annual Marketing Meeting will be held from 27th to 29th June, during which period Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) market representatives will report upon their target goals and achievements in addition to discussing future marketing plans with MGTO management. The Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Alexis Tam, will host a meeting with MGTO representatives, during the Annual Marketing Meeting.

On the first day of the meeting, MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes will update the representatives on Macao's latest tourism trends, the line-up of events for the next half of the year as well as important emerging MGTO projects. She will also give them directions in terms of marketing strategy so that their market promotions can dovetail with Macao's tourism development and its overarching goal to develop into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.

MGTO representatives will make presentations about the results achieved in the work conducted over the past year, report on the progress of ongoing projects and discuss the marketing plan for 2017. During the meeting MGTO leaders, department and division heads will exchange views with overseas representatives about their work and future marketing plans.

The Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture will have a meeting with the representatives during the MGTO Annual Marketing Meeting. Alexis Tam will also take a group photo with MGTO leaders, department and division heads, and overseas representatives.

To facilitate the promotion abroad of Macao's new tourism products, overseas representatives are set to make familiarization visits to Planet J: Macau Theme Park and the new leisure facilities set to open in Nam Van Lake in early June.
