MGTO Enhances ‘Step Out, Experience Macao’s Communities’ Walking Tour Routes

Initiatives for Summer include promoting the eight routes, story collection and related micro-filming

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) continues to promote 'Step Out, Experience Macao's Communities' via games and activities following the launch of the promotion campaign of prize-redemption WeChat game 'Macao Hunt' between 26th April and 23rd May. Starting from June, MGTO and Aliança de Povo de Instituição de Macau are promoting together 'Macao Culture Star' in order to encourage visitors and residents to travel deep into Macao's neighbourhoods, experiencing their unique local culture and generating the development of both Macao and its neighbourhoods.

The three parts of the promotion include promoting the eight routes, story collection and micro-filming based on story collection.

The promotion of the eight walking routes will last until 31st August, up until when visitors and residents can redeem coupons or gifts from partner shops via Facebook 'Check-In' on the walking routes.

The period of story collection will last until 18th July, and feature true stories related to The Historic Centre of Macao, traditional culture of Macao, Macao's social changes and other topics of interest to the public. Stories will be voted for by online ballot, with the winning list announced on 9th August: the best winning story will be filmed as a Micro film.
