Wushu Masters Challenge inaugurated in August

The Wushu Masters Challenge – organised by the Sports Bureau of Macao of the SAR Government and Wushu General Association of Macao, and co-organised by Macao Government Tourism Office – will be held from 11th to 14th August.

The exciting four-day event comprises a great variety of wushu activities, ranging from traditional wushu performances, demonstrations and teaching, lion dance demonstration and wushu forum to Chinese and Western Wushu Masters Extravaganza and Taolu competition. In addition, the event's highlights include a Chinese and Western Masters Sanda Championship, Dragon and Lion Dance Championship, Wushu Parade featuring wushu characters, lion and dragon dance and Chinese mythological creatures, as well as the grand opening and closing ceremonies.

This traditional wushu-themed sports and tourism includes interactive activities that engage the participation of local residents and tourists and further develops their insights into this traditional sport. Moreover, it provides a diverse communication platform for wushu enthusiasts to learn and train as well as to exchange and share their experiences in practicing wushu with one another.

In order to spread the festive atmosphere throughout the local communities of Macao, the expansive line-up of wushu activities will be held in different locations around the city.
