The 4^th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) is hosted by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and organized by Macau Travel Agency Association, and will take place in Hall D, Cotai Expo, Venetian Macao from 2^nd to 4^th September. The exhibition area occupies 6,500 square metres with 350 booths.

The six major sectors of the tourism industry – food and beverages, accommodation, transportation, entertainment, travel and shopping – will be represented. The event also includes tourism extension services, travelling media, tourism e-business, tourism-related technologies and others. The exhibitors are mainly travel agents and tourism organizations plus promoters of scenic spots, airlines, cruises, hotels and others, from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, the Taiwan region and overseas.

The MITE website features a welcome message by MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes who remarks that this year's Travel Fair is the fourth edition the tourism industry has been involved with, achieving good results. MGTO has supported the organization of the event, and for the first time is the event's organizer this year. It is anticipated that tourism and related industries from around the world can build an exchange platform to exploit the subsequent linkage.
