Chibi Maruko Chan Animation in Macao

Visitors can enjoy delicious food with Chibi Maruko Chan in the interactive scene

Chibi Maruko Chan Animation 25th Anniversary Exhibition – Tour in Macau is coming to Macao this Summer, from 1st July to 11th September in the Macau Convention Centre (Next to Golden Crown China Hotel, Opposite Macau International Airport). Some nine different parts will reproduce the lively sense of Chibi Maruko Chan, a famous Japanese animation.

Each part has a suitable interaction for visitors, with the reproduction of Chibi Maruko Chan scenes including: the Sakura Household zone (Kitchen, Living Room and Maruko and her sister's bedroom), School Sports Day, Summer Night Festival and her 3rd grade D class classroom. The highlight of the exhibition will be the last part of Chibi Maruko Chan in Macao, which is Macao's attractions and delicious food the main theme of that part of the exhibition, enabling visitors to enjoy delicious food with Chibi Maruko Chan in the interactive scene while sightseeing Macao's attractions.

Chibi Maruko Chan animation is based on the childhood of author Momoko Sakura. The story is about third-grade student Maruko, with her simple but hilarious upbringing. First aired in 1990, the animation became a blockbuster, with its fame spreading throughout Asia. The exhibition includes Momoko Sakura's manuscript and recreation of her working desk.

Opening hours of the exhibition: 12:00 noon to 8:00pm, from Monday to Thursday, and from 11:00am to 9:00pm from Friday to Sunday (No ticket will be sold or admission to the exhibition one hour before closing).
