Global Tourism Economy Forum Organizes Roadshow in Five Asian Cities

The Global Tourism Economy Forum will be held in October

The Global Tourism Economy Forum 2016 (GTEF) - slated to be held in Studio City Macau from 15th to 16th October - will be dedicated to 'The Growing Consumer Class, Rethinking and Reshaping the Future Tourism Landscape'. GTEF will zero in on how this rising independently-minded, resourceful and tech-savvy group is more than ever the increasingly influential force in the tourism industry through thought-provoking discussion of issues related to Chinese consumers, tourism and technology, the urban tourism consumption revolution, millennial travellers and tourism investment.

GTEF's special 5th anniversary edition will be attended by over 1,000 delegates from around the world, in addition to 500 local Macao officials, industry practitioners and the general public, and 200 representatives of the media; VIPs and guests from its two featured partners - France and Beijing - will also be welcomed.

In order to strengthen promotions, GTEF organized its 2016 Asia Roadshow in five cities; namely, Beijing (28th July), Shanghai (1st August), Taipei (5th August), Guangzhou (9th August) and Seoul (11th August). Having connected over 230 industry leaders through networking opportunities like luncheons and salons, the roadshow has received tremendous support from local organizations and associations, strengthened mutual understanding with nationwide and overseas tourism peers, and explored collaboration possibilities with the local tourism sector.

GTEF is the leading global tourism platform where tourism and economic ministers, the world's most influential business leaders, decision-makers and academia converge to discuss how different industries can capitalize on tourism development and contribute to economic growth.
