Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute will hold the 21st Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) from 20th to 22nd October in the Convention Centre of The Venetian-Macao-Resort-Hotel. This year's theme is 'Co-operation – Key to Business Opportunities', and is the first year 'partner countries' and 'partner cities' as a co-operational project has been introduced, featuring Portugal and Beijing. Both partners will work together to highlight Macao's aspirations to be a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, acting in the process as a bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

This year, MIF will set up exhibition areas for Mainland China cities, Europe, Portuguese-speaking countries, America, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. A Portuguese-speaking Countries Product and Service Exhibition will also be held. A number of high level forums, international trading forum and investment promotion - including the 'International Trade and Investment Forum' and the 'World Summit of Chinese Entrepreneurs', among others - will be held throughout the MIF event. Leaders from around the world influencing government and enterprise, plus the captains of industry and Chinese entrepreneurs will gather in Macao to consider future steps for Asia and the future of the global economy.

In addition, MIF will facilitate business matching meetings for free via its online business matching service, with exhibition areas and special time periods allotted to exhibition teams and delegations to optimize opportunities. Meanwhile, MIF offers an unrivalled platform for co-operation, communication, promotion and development for small and medium sized enterprises. MIF will also facilitate the exploration of economic development through networking, products, services and exchange of technology.
