The Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau of the Macao SAR (DSSOPT) is to start the improvement work on the Estrada Governador Nobre de Carvalho pavement in Taipa in order to strengthen the link to pedestrian facilities near the old quarter of Taipa, which, upon completion, will connect tourist spots and facilities like the 'Walking trail from EdifĂcio do Lago to Taipa Houses' and 'Taipa Houses'.

This improvement work will optimize the paving of Estrada Governador Nobre de Carvalho located along Parque Natural da Taipa Grande from Rotunda Ouvidor Arriaga to Rotunda do Istmo. Work includes the construction of a covered corridor, paving, and the placement of metal awnings and one-metre high railings along the promenade.

DSSOPT has scheduled work to start in the first quarter of 2017, and to be completed in about 400 days whilst creating about 40 jobs. DSSOPT received 10 proposals ranging in cost from MOP19.6 to 30.6 million.
