The 16th Macau Food Festival – held in Sai Van Lake Square opposite Macau Tower from 11th to 27th November - is themed 'Gourmetman - treasure our food'. For the first time, chefs from the Food Festival will become the 'Gourmetman' to promote the idea of 'treasure your food to save our planet' whilst enjoying your dishes.

This year, the number of local exhibitors participating in the Festival is about 121 while some 26 non-local exhibitors will take part. A number of renowned catering companies from Sabah and Sarawak in east Malaysia will prepare famous street food and snacks in an 'East Malaysia Village' located underneath Sai Van Lake Square.

In addition, with the support of Macao Government Tourism Office, a special invitation has been extended to members of the Global Creative Cities Network, awarded by UNESCO, and the Shunde Culinary Team, which won the title of 'World Food City'. Four food stalls will be set up at the Food Festival, with a local chefs cook-out in Shunde's pursuit of 'Taste of Food', revealing the unique flavours of Shunde's offerings in Cantonese cuisine.

The Food Festival welcomes visitors from Monday to Thursday from 5:00pm to 11:00pm, and Friday to Sunday from 3:00pm to midnight. During the Festival, a free shutter bus will travel between Sai Van Lake Square and Luso Bank in Nam Van, OCBC Wing Hang Bank in Areia Preta plus Taipa Central Park (Ave. de Guimarães) and Border Gate Square (beside Police Tactical Intervention Unit Headquarters). Service hours are from 5:00pm to 11:30pm Monday to Thursday, and from 3:00pm to 00:30am Fridays to Sundays.
