Nine Properties Listed on Heritage List

A protection zone has also been delineated around the former Municipal Cattle Stable and Municipal Kennels of Macao

A total of nine more properties have been added to Macao's Heritage list of Classified Immovable Properties, following the Macao SAR Executive Council's recent conclusion of the discussion of the draft administrative regulation entitled 'Classification of monuments and buildings with architectural value and creation of a protection zone'. Seven buildings have been classified as monuments, and two properties classified as buildings of architectural value.

The seven buildings classified as monuments are: Foc Tac Temple on Horta da Mitra, Foc Tac Temple on Rua do Teatro, Foc Tac Temple on Rua do Patane, Foc Tac Temple on Rua do Almirante Sérgio, Old City Walls (sections located in the Estrada de S. Francisco area, Estrada do Visconde de S. Januário area and next to Our Lady of Penha Chapel), Former Chong Sai Pharmacy, and Former Residence of General Ye Ting. At the same time, the former Municipal Cattle Stable and Municipal Kennels of Macao, along with the building at No.6, Estrada do Cemitério (Blue House) have been classified as buildings of architectural value. In addition, a protection zone has been delineated for the Municipal Cattle Stable and Municipal Kennels.
