Macao SAR Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) veterinary staff will arrange for Giant Panda cubs Jian Jian and Kang Kang to regularly meet the public as they have confirmed that the cubs are in good condition. The meetings will be held every Sunday afternoon from 2:30pm to 4:30pm; other times are currently unavailable due to the cubs' development requirements.

During the Chinese New Year, IACM arranged for Jian Jian and Kang Kang, with parents Kai Kai and Xin Xin, to put in a 'happy family' appearance with the public, which was deemed a major success. From 27th January to 7th February, the total number of visitors to the Macao Giant Panda Pavilion reached 9,930.

The team continually monitored the meeting between the pandas and public for several days, and believe the cubs are in healthy condition with their torso becoming more agile than before. Thus, the team will allow the cubs to continue to meet the public after Chinese New Year. IACM also appealed to the public to follow requests and keep quiet while visiting the pavilion to ensure the pandas can frolic in a comfortable environment.
