Macau Radio Taxi Services Limited has been authorized to operate 100 special taxis for eight years. The initial 50 special taxis will operate from 1st April while another 50 taxis will be in service within one year of the first operation.

Three types of taxi will be available for calling: 85 of them are normal six-seater taxis; 10 are large seven-seater taxis; five are barrier-free taxis equipped with ramp, handrails, carpet and so forth, and can accommodate two to three people with disabilities or six able-bodied persons.

Passengers can call (853) 2881 2345 to order a taxi. An app - TaxiMacauapp - is also available for calling a taxi via smartphone, the app is available on GooglePlay and Appstore. Passengers can also call a 24-hour customer service hotline on (853) 8893 9999 for enquiries, lost and found, suggestions and complaints.

The radio taxi fare is the same as a normal taxi with MOP17 flagfall fare, with MOP5 charged to order a taxi within one hour of calling, and no extra charge for ordering a taxi over one hour after calling. Passengers can choose to pay by cash or by e-payment.
