MGTO Hong Kong hosts a luncheon for the New Territories West Principal Associations in order to strengthen relations

This month, Macao reverberates to the 64th edition of the Macau Grand Prix and serves as a beacon for foodies everywhere via the 17th Macao Food Festival. Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will participate in and organize multiple activities (in chronological order) in Malaysia, the Taiwan region, United States, United Kingdom, and Hong Kong to promote the many facets of the city at a time when Macao's weather is at its glorious best!

Malaysia

MGTO Malaysia is hosting an 'Experience Macao' Destination Presentation Luncheon on 2nd November, at which it will introduce the city's latest developments, activities, hotels and multi-destination products to the local travel trade. In addition, MGTO Malaysia is running its 'Experience Macao' and Macao Mega Sale roadshow in Johor Bahru from 2nd to 5th November, with packages, interactive games and social media activities promoting Macao in a variety of interesting ways.

From 5th to 9th November, MGTO Malaysia will organize a familiarization trip for the Malaysian travel trade, during which it will provide up-to-date information on Macao's new attractions and developments. Travel agents will also visit Chimelong Ocean Kingdom on nearby Hengqin Island in order to ascertain what family-oriented activities can be incorporated into their Macao travel packages. They will also attend the mini mart as a platform for the Macao and Malaysian trade to discuss further co-operation opportunities.

Taiwan region

MGTO will attend the Kaohsiung K-Arena International Travel Fair from 3rd to 6th November, while co-operating with four local travel agencies offering Macao travel packages for Taiwan visitors planning to visit Macao.

United States

From 6th to 10th November, MGTO USA will host a press trip for four ethnic-focused journalists, bloggers and influencers in the US market. The trip offers them an opportunity to view Macao firsthand, enabling them to familiarise themselves with the necessary knowledge and experience of Macao to write articles and blog posts about Macao's heritage, cuisine, culture and development.

In addition, MGTO USA representatives will conduct meetings and network with top US tour operators at the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) annual conference and marketplace from 27th November to 1st December. MGTO USA will also participate as one of six featured destinations at the 'Around the World Breakfast' event with time allotted for presentations, discussions, and Q & A session about Macao and related travel products.

United Kingdom

MGTO UK, in partnership with Cathay Pacific, will host a travel trade familiarization trip to Macao from 13th to 16th November, with eight tour operators participating in the trip to learn more about Macao and share their experiences with colleagues and customers.

Hong Kong

MGTO Hong Kong plans a media familiarization tour on 15th November for Hong Kong media to visit and experience Macao's latest mega events, tourist attractions and facilities such as the 17th Macau Food Festival and 64th Macau Grand Prix. The tour is designed to enhance their understanding of Macao and encourage media coverage of Macao in the Hong Kong Market.

Meanwhile, MGTO Hong Kong will host a product update luncheon for the New Territories West Principal Associations in Hong Kong and provide them with the latest news of Macao's rich resources for study tours and MGTO's 'Travel Stimulation Programme', as well as building strategic relationships with these key stakeholders for future co-operation.
