The walking trail between Jardim do Lago and Taipa Houses opened on 1st October. The trail - featuring an inclined elevator, introduced to Macao for the first time - will open from 7:00am to 6:00pm in the early phrase of operation. The public and tourists can enjoy the view of Taipa Houses from the elevator, hiking trail and observation deck.

The inclined elevator can overcome the steep terrain of Taipa Grande Hill and provide convenience for the public, following the undulating terrain and surrounding landscape. The elevator was built along the hill in total harmony with the natural environment, with the trail equally well integrated into its surroundings. The observation deck of Taipa Grande Hill and the trail serve as the primary connection point between South and North Taipa. In addition to the optimisation of existing staircases and the street, the new inclined elevator and skyways provide an excellent travel option to access the observation deck and trail.

The total length of the trail is 800 metres and divided into four parts, the first beginning at the skyways near Jardim do Lago before passing through the widened pavement of Estrada Padre Estevão Eusébio Situ alongside the hill, with pedestrian access for about 115 metres.

The second part has an access crosswalk to the 360° skyways, with its structure made of concrete and steel, and a floor comprising environmentally friendly woods with anti-slip function.

The third part starts at the connecting section between the skyways and the Macao Water Supply Company Limited tank and accesses the observation deck, while the fourth part starts at the inclined elevator of the observation deck, allowing access to the new skyways of Estrada Governador Nobre de Carvalho, and ending at Taipa Houses and Taipa Village.
