Euromonitor International, a world leading independent provider of strategic market research, recently released its annual Top City Destinations Ranking, with Hong Kong placing first for the ninth consecutive year. Bangkok ranked second followed by London and Singapore, while Macao rose to fifth position, from sixth in the previous year.

To calculate its ranking, Euromonitor International evaluated inbound overnight passenger data in 100 of the world's leading cities in terms of international visitor arrivals. The sixth to tenth spots on Euromonitor ranking are: Dubai, Paris, New York, Shenzhen and Kuala Lumpur. Euromonitor predicted that some 47 Asian cities would be listed in Top City Destinations Ranking by 2025, with 41 Asian cities listed this year.
