Macao SAR Government Cartography and Cadastre Bureau (DSCC), together with the Transport Bureau (DSAT), the Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT), the Transportation Infrastructure Office (GIT), Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) and the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), has launched a related thematic website gathering all the walking tour routes available to explore Macao introduced by various government departments in recent years. The website was unveiled at the end of 2017 in Chinese and Portuguese. The English version was launched in August, 2018. The website seeks to enhance residents' and visitors' understanding of the walking routes and attractions along these routes on the map.

The website includes the Walking Routes Map, launched by DSCC - comprising nine routes - providing information on the routes and facilities of each district, such as the escalator at Rua da Surpresa, walkway system of Cheok Kun Pavilion, walking route between the Lakeside Garden and Taipa Houses and the escalator and walkway system at Baía de Nossa Senhora da Esperança, and so forth. By using the suggested information of walking routes and time required provided on the map, the Walking Routes Map encourages residents and visitors to traverse the various districts of the city. Users can browse the website on their computer or smart devices.

Besides providing information on the Walking Routes Map, the thematic website integrates 'Step Out, Experience Macao's Communities' launched by MGTO, 'Taking a Walk through the Streets of Macao' launched by IACM, and the 'Macao Cultural and Creative Map' launched by the Cultural Affairs Bureau. Users can view many scenic spots in the 360 panoramic photos, employing smart devices to obtain real-time location information on the Walking Routes Map.
