Application Period for / Re-issuance of Travel Documents improved for Mainland Residents Nationwide

The National Immigration Administration announced 22 new policy improvements on service and management at the end of August, in which Mainland residents could apply for 'Application / Re-issuance for Travel Documents Abroad' nationwide effective 1st September, with applications for travel documents processed within seven working days. The new policies make it now more convenient for Mainland residents to apply for the Exit/Entry Permit for Travelling to Macao.

Following the implementation of the new policies, Mainland residents can apply for 'Application / Re-issuance for Ordinary Passports Abroad', 'Exit/Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao', and 'Mainland Residents Taiwan Pass' at all Exit-Entry Administration Bureaus of Public Security Bureaus nationwide.

Mainland residents can also apply for a 'Travel Visa for Package Tour Travelling to and from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan' at all Exit-Entry Administration Bureaus of Public Security Bureaus nationwide now as well. The issuing day to any applicant applying for ordinary passport using their household address, Exit/Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, and Mainland Residents Taiwan Pass will be reduced to seven working days.
