MGTO to Promote Macao in PATA Travel Mart 2019 in Kazakhstan

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will attend Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2019 to be held in Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan from 18^th to 20^th September, at which MGTO will promote Macao’s new attractions, major events and festivals by hosting a booth together with Macao travel trade representatives from the hotel and travel agency sector. One of the highlights of the event will be the 2019 PATA Gold Awards Dinner and Presentation, supported by MGTO.

MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes will participate in the PATA Travel Mart, and present awards at the PATA Gold Awards Dinner and Presentation in Kazakhstan. This year marks the 24^th consecutive year that MGTO has supported the PATA Gold Awards. Senna Fernandes will also participate in the PATA Executive Board and Board Meeting in her role as Secretary/Treasurer of the Association.

Asia Pacific’s premiere worldwide travel trade exhibition, PATA Travel Mart features talks, forums, business promotions and networking sessions. At this year’s PATA Gold Awards four Grand Awards and 29 Gold Awards will be distributed, including two to Macao. The Grand Award in the Marketing Category goes to the mega promotional campaign ‘Experience Macao Food Truck in Los Angeles’ rolled out by Macao Government Tourism Office last year, while Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited has secured a PATA Gold Award in the Marketing – Hospitality category for ‘The Art of Winning’ advertising campaign.

Macao has been a PATA member since 1958. For decades, PATA has been a valuable platform for Macao to promote its tourism image and connect with local travel trade stakeholders throughout the world. The city successfully hosted PATA Travel Mart 2017 and 2010 and the then-PATA Annual Conference in 2005.
