The final round of Miss Macau 2019 - themed ‘Celebrating the Genuine Beauty of Macau’ and organised by Macau Pageant Alliance and co-organised by Sun Entertainment Culture Limited - was held on 13th August in The Venetian Macao Cotai Arena, following a ten years’ hiatus. Candidate No. 5, Bobo Leong, beat all-comers to lift the crown of the Miss Macau 2019 finals. Her stunning performance also resulted in her being crowned Miss Photogenic and Miss Friendship, with candidate No. 4, Emily Yau, proclaimed First Runner-up and Candidate No. 9, Dinelle Wong, Second Runner-up.

When contest winner Bobo Leong - a professional emcee, make-up artist and model - was asked about the best zone in Macao for ‘Slash Youth’ to realise their full potential in the Q & A round, she recommended Freguesia da Sé as the ideal spot, as it boosts concerted development of the city’s economy, tourism and Historic Centre. Her smart remarks won rousing cheers and applause. Dressed in traditional Chinese costume, she impressed the audience with her talents and passion for traditional culture through Guzheng play and Chinese dance in the talent round.

Laura Li, President of the Organising Committee for Miss Macau 2019 and Miss Macau 2009 winner, Sarah Leyshan, First Runner-Up of Miss Macau 2009, and Joyce Huang, Second Runner-up of Miss Macau 2009, presented the awards to winning candidates and encouraged them to represent Macao and promote the unique charm of the city to the world.

The jury - comprising advisor to the Office of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Olivia Lam, Director of Macao Government Tourism Office Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Executive Director of Sands China Limited Wilfred Y.W. Wong, Vice President of Production of Viu TV Kenneth Kam, Chief Supervisor of Macau Pageant Alliance Heidi Chan and Hong Kong Artist Eliza Sam - greatly applauded the excellent impression Miss Macau 2019 candidates presented to the world regarding the beauty and engagement of young Macao females. This event also highlighted concerted collaboration across multiple local industries in the exhibition, media, entertainment, design, music, and creative fields.
