The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is scheduled to launch its Annual Press Conference on 15 January, at which a wrap-up of last year’s activities will be delivered, while MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes will introduce the marketing and promotional programme for 2020. Hundreds of local guests plus MGTO and its representatives from overseas, local industry partners, as well as local and international media personnel, will attend.
This year, MGTO will forge ahead to push forward tourism development in the Greater Bay Area, continue to develop multi-destination travel pattern and launch new multi-destination products, harness gastronomy and World Heritage as its key promotion theme for Macao tourism and cultural image. In 2019, MGTO plans to launch the works to review the Macao Tourism Industry Development Master Plan, at the same time, the Office will deepen smart tourism development, as well as continue to develop Macao as UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, while working to enhance tourism service quality, as well as enriching tourism products and resources, with the plan to open Macao Grand Prix Museum this year.
