Hotels and resorts in Macao are keeping up their drive to inspire Macao locals to take a summer staycation. As controls remain on boundary-crossing journeys made either by residents or visitors, hotels and resorts are tempting Macao people by reducing room rates, making dining offers, allowing early check-ins and late check-outs, and including holiday activities in the price, along with options to upgrade.
The offers let Macao people enjoy the world-class tourist infrastructure on their doorstep and are helping drive demand.
Among the offers, the Sheraton Grand Macao, Cotai Strip is promoting until 30 September a staycation package that includes a free room upgrade, MOP500 a day in dining credit, early check-in and late check-out, as well as tickets to children’s indoor playground Qube Kingdom and to the Eiffel Tower Observation Deck, both at integrated resort the Parisian Macao.
Breakfast for two, a free room upgrade, MOP200 a day in dining credits, early check-in and late check-out, and entry to Qube Kingdom and the Eiffel Tower Observation Deck at the Parisian Macao are the highlights of the “St. Regis Macao, Cotai Strip Staycation Package”. It is available until 30 September.
The special offer at the Parisian Macao includes accommodation in a King Deluxe room, and free room upgrades; a MOP500 dining voucher; free passes to the Eiffel Tower Experience, the Aqua World waterpark and Qube Kingdom; and other benefits for stays before 31 August.
The “Local Summer Staycation” packages at the City of Dreams or Studio City resorts include free room upgrades, late check-out and dining vouchers, along with the privilege to buy more dining vouchers worth MOP500, for just MOP350. The promotion runs until 31 August.
The Wynn Palace “Summer Suite Escape”, available until 15 August, sees free upgrades to suites, a MOP1,000 dining credit, a MOP800 spa or salon credit, and breakfast for two served in the room.
The MGM Cotai integrated resort is offering two staycation options, available until 31 August: the “Chilllax Moment” package, including accommodation and breakfast for two; and the “Foodcation” package of a room and breakfast for two people, along with MOP800 credit for food and drink. Macao residents are additionally offered the option to buy credits for food and drink worth MOP800 for just MOP500 with every booking.
Among the offers at the Grand Coloane Resort this month are the “Superior Garden View Room Package”, including breakfast for two and activities for children; and the “Weekend Getaway Room Package”, which features special dining options.
The Crowne Plaza Macau is offering several staycation deals, including discounted rates for a Superior Room, with breakfasts for two adults and two children, among other packages promoted by other hotels and resorts in Macao.
