Light Night Market returns with a focus on small business

Running until 20 September, the Light Night Market entertainment and cultural festival returns to Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. This is the third annual edition of the popular attraction. It takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Spread across Fisherman’s Wharf are nearly 100 booths representing restaurants, retailers, and artists and other cultural enterprises that offer everything from food and drink, to handmade craft items and games.

The event is organised by The Federal General Commercial Association of Macau Small and Medium Enterprises, with the support of the Macao Economic Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office.

In the face of the COVID-19-linked economic downturn, this year’s event is designed to engage small- and medium-sized enterprises, and young entrepreneurs. The Light Night Market also helps promote the city as a world centre of tourism and leisure, and a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
