Leading chefs from across China have started making their way to Macao to take part in a unique promotion of Chinese cuisines. Since April, celebrity chefs have been hosted by the Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace Cotai as part of the “Wynn Guest Chef Series”, running until June.
While in Macao, the chefs are sharing their knowledge with local students at “The Eight Great Cuisines of China” master class sessions, aiming to exchange experiences, introduce China’s great cuisines and promote the rich culture of Chinese cuisine. These educational events will be held at the Wynn F&B Academy, Macao Institute for Tourism Studies and Macau University of Science and Technology, among other institutions.
Featured at the events are chefs from Ba Shu Feng Master Feast in Shenzhen, a specialist in Sichuan cuisine; the Beijing institution Da Dong Roast Duck; Master Oyster in Shenzhen, which is helmed by the “Godfather of Chinese Oysters” Chef Chen Han Zong; expert Hunan cuisine from Tian Ran Tai 1908 in Changsha; and Shanghai’s Tea Culture Chinese Restaurant, directed by Chef Hou Yiwei, who is known for crafting new concepts using traditional Jiangnan flavours.
