The MGM Cotai integrated resort has featured in a BBC television series called “Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby”. The resort’s operator, MGM China Holdings Ltd, said the MGM Cotai was the first hotel in Greater China to appear in the documentary series.

The episode was the premiere in the third series of “Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby” and was first broadcast on BBC Two in July. The series highlights extraordinary hotels around the globe, showing the programme’s presenters working alongside the staff.

Among the elements of the MGM Cotai that appeared on the programme were a Skylofts guest room, the MGM Theater, MGM Cotai’s collection of art, and MGM Cotai’s free-span gridshell glazed roof – an architectural wonder called the Spectacle.

Aspects of the hotel usually unseen by the public but revealed by the programme included the delivery warehouse, the kitchens, the making of floral arrangements and the performance of a butler’s duties.
