MGTO holds seminars in March promoting tourism and MICE in three Greater Bay Area cities

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will join forces to organise seminars on tourism, and meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) early in March. The seminars will be held in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area cities of Guangzhou, Dongguan and Zhongshan.

The seminars will inform participants about the state of Macao’s tourism industry and the city’s distinctive “Tourism+MICE” initiative, as well as promoting Macao as a destination that is safe and captivating.

At the three events, MGTO officials will present new developments in Macao’s tourism industry and outline the efforts to facilitate the industry’s recovery to local tourism authorities, representatives from the tourism and MICE industries, and the media.

The Office will also introduce the audience to some of the city’s new tourism hotspots, and diversified tourism resources and products. Business-matching sessions will also take place in each city. Through its promotional activities and exchanges, the Office aims to create opportunities for representatives of Macao’s tourism industry to interact with industry insiders across the Greater Bay Area and boost cooperation.

With the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic generally stable in Mainland China, MGTO plans to deliver more promotional activities in cities within the Greater Bay Area. By enhancing its promotional activities, and strengthening Macao’s image as a safe destination, the Office will strive to instil confidence and attract more visitors from the Mainland in order to drive the recovery of Macao’s tourism industry.
