Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd has announced plans to welcome a Raffles-branded hotel with about 450 suites to the Galaxy Macau resort in Cotai in the second half of 2021.

The Raffles travel brand has existed since 1887. Located on the eastern promenade of the resort in Cotai, the “Raffles at Galaxy Macau” features a glass airbridge connecting the two towers on every floor.

The design of the suites is said to draw inspiration from modern mansions, with some suites featuring private pools and gardens, while a small number unique loft suites featuring double-storey windows.

Raffles at Galaxy Macau will turn its guestrooms into a multi-usage canvas – with technology and interactive installations supported by The Frame Hospitality in every room, switching from globally curated art to in-room entertainment features with just one click. The new property in Macao hopes to raise the bar with features that include curated digital art, bespoke dining experiences and exclusive entertainment.

Guests at Raffles at Galaxy Macau can enjoy Raffles’ signature afternoon tea or sip a new iconic Singapore Sling tailored for Macao at the hallmark Long Bar. They can also enjoy the outdoors to an indoor environment while being served food and beverage in the Glass House, a Mediterranean-inspired garden, which is within a few steps of the Raffles’ private infinity edge pool.

The property will also include a spa and Japanese restaurant that Galaxy Entertainment Group says will be led by a Michelin-starred chef.
