Some Lisboeta Macau attractions to open on 17 July

Lisboeta Macau, an entertainment and hotel property located in Cotai, is due to open some attractions on 17 July, announced the developer of the complex, Macau Theme Park and Resort Ltd.

Facilities to debut to the public this month include GoAirborne Indoor SkyDiving, the first indoor skydiving experience in Macao. The wind tunnel used features a frameless design, and a maximum airspeed of 270 kilometres per hour can be created within it. As a result, the experience promises to be one of the most thrilling available in the city.

Another attraction opening on 17 July is ZIPCITY, defined as Asia Pacific’s first urban zipline ride. It is 388-metres long, and takes the exhilarating thrills of ziplining to new heights with a spectacular audiovisual experience.

The Lisboeta night market is one more element launching this month, and is due to offer some of the city’s best-known food, leisure, and entertainment options.

These new attractions at Lisboeta Macau will operate from Thursday to Sunday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The GoAirborne Indoor SkyDiving and ZIPCITY attractions at Lisboeta Macau have been included in the second phase of the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” programme (related article here), aiming to spur the gradual revival of tourism and related industries. The programme is part of the Macao SAR Government’s “2021 Scheme for Employment Security, Economic Stabilisation and Care for Residents’ Livelihood”.

Lisboeta Macau is a tourism complex drawing on collective memories of the Macao of yesteryear, incorporating details inspired by some of the city’s iconic buildings, such as Hotel Estoril, as well as the floating casino “Macau Palace” and the New Central Hotel. The property hotel (currently being used as a medical observation hotel, with the date to open to the public yet to be announced) offers 820 rooms with three unique themes: “Lisboeta”, “Maison L’Occitane”, and “Casa de Amigo”. The latter two themed guest rooms of the hotel would be a collaboration with, respectively, French cosmetics brand L’Occitane, and Line Friends, characters associated with the Line social media software app.
